Find the bank and provisioners. Organize bandages, food, and a small loot bag before leaving town. Guards punish criminals here, but they cannot prevent the first attack.
The first days
Survival comes before mastery.
UONax rewards characters who prepare, retreat, and recover. Your first build should earn modest gold without leaving you helpless when a fight turns.
Non-player-caused death reduces trained skills above 50.0 by 10%, down to a protected floor of 50.0. Carry bandages, know your escape route, and leave before the last hit point.
Young status prevents monsters from attacking you without provocation, even under UONax's Felucca rules. A monster may retaliate once you attack it. Right-click your own character and choose Information to see your remaining protected playtime and the spoken command for permanently renouncing it.
Recommended foundation
Build a survivor first.
- Healing
- Your most dependable early recovery skill. Keep clean bandages in an easy-to-reach pack and begin healing before your health becomes critical.
- Anatomy
- Pair it with Healing. It supports effective bandage use and fits naturally into a practical warrior foundation.
- Spirit Speak
- Invest early in spiritual recovery and communication with the dead. It gives a survival-oriented character another path through injury, death, and corpse-filled places.
- One weapon
- Choose one family—Swords is a straightforward first option—and stay focused. Add Tactics rather than spreading early gains across several weapons.
A guarded opening route
Your first pieces of gold.
Fight low-risk creatures near Britain. Pull one target at a time, keep room behind you, and do not chase into unknown ground.
Sell ordinary loot to matching vendors and deposit gold regularly. A shorter profitable trip is better than losing an ambitious one.
Fight on your terms
Watch stamina and health, avoid being surrounded, and begin bandaging early. Moving out of range while healing another target still breaks that application.
Progress with intention
Skills begin at half the normal gain pace and slow sharply after 40. Decide early which survival and combat tools deserve your time.
Protect what you cannot replace
Item insurance is disabled. Bank valuable equipment and collectibles when you do not need them, recover your corpse carefully, and never carry more than the trip demands.
Luck finds lost colors
Every eligible creature is a chance at a numbered rare dye tub. Luck raises the roll from 1.5% toward a 5% cap at 1,000, but survival remains more valuable than one extra corpse.
